Murder Mystery Package

Bring your group of six to ten friends or family and enjoy a two-night stay in this gracious setting. Everyone will thrill at the opportunity to become a murder suspect and a crime investigator. Cost is only $150.00 per person (based on double occupancy).

Ideally, this package should be scheduled for a Friday-to-Sunday visit, but certainly can be tailored to any three-day period of availability. Talk to the proprietor about creating mysteries for more total guests, if necessary. You will be filling the roles of suspects, sleuths, or murderers! Dossiers will be sent to you ahead of time so all guests can acquire appropriate attire for their roles. Additional time also allows guests to study and prepare their assigned characters.

First Day:

Travel to Safford from any direction and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Arrive at the Olney House and meet your hosts, Brenda and Michael, who will serve you cheese and wine (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) in one of the cozy settings available (rose garden, upper or lower veranda, or sitting parlor).

Second Day:

Morning starts with a sumptuous breakfast, served in the main house dining room. Fill your day with as much, or as little, as you want. Shop in the local antique emporiums, visit one of the area attractions, or just relax in our beautiful home and grounds. The day is all your own, but at 6:00 pm the mystery unfolds.

Surprise the other guests in full costume and character. Everyone will meet in the main dining room for a five-course dinner. The proprietor will announce rules and appropriate times for mystery discussions. After the meal is complete, all suspects will retire to the upper parlor for coffee and desserts. Accusations can now be made among suspects. The proprietor will read the “Who Done It!” and award prizes for costumes and acting.

Third Day:

Enjoy another special breakfast and prepare yourself to re-join the 21st Century.
